Save Miền Tây Initiative – Supporting Communities During the Drought Crisis

In 2020, the Mekong Delta faced severe drought conditions and prolonged saltwater intrusion, creating significant challenges for local communities and agricultural production. In response, Cansy’s Garden launched the “Save Miền Tây” initiative to support communities struggling with water shortages.

Through a partnership and sponsorship program with JCI South Saigon, the initiative implemented several key support activities in Thạnh Hải commune, including:

Installation of three clean water treatment systems, providing access to safe water for approximately 4,800 households.
Workshops for 100 farmers on efficient water use and sustainable irrigation practices in agriculture.
Distribution of 100 support packages to households facing difficult living conditions.

This initiative helped improve daily living conditions while also raising awareness about sustainable water management and climate resilience within the local community.

Through programs such as Save Miền Tây, Cansy’s Garden continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting rural communities and promoting sustainable agricultural development in Vietnam.
