Save Miền Tây Initiative – Continued Community Support in 2024
Building on the Save Miền Tây initiative, Cansy’s Garden continued its commitment in 2024 as the Mekong Delta once again faced severe drought and saltwater intrusion.
In collaboration with JCI South Saigon, the program expanded community support activities in U Minh Hạ and Biển Bạch communes, focusing on improving access to clean water for affected communities.
Key activities included:
Installation of two clean water treatment systems, providing improved access to safe water for approximately 8,000 households in areas heavily impacted by drought and salinity intrusion.
Distribution of 100 support packages to disadvantaged households across the two communes.
Through these efforts, the program contributed to improving living conditions while strengthening community resilience and local adaptation to climate change in the Mekong Delta.
Cansy’s Garden remains committed to supporting vulnerable communities and promoting sustainable and climate-resilient agricultural development in Vietnam.
